SolarBOS Combiner Boxes (aka "Source Circuit Combiners" or more simply just "Combiners") allow the system designer or installer tremendous flexibility in how they design and build the DC side of their PV System. SolarBOS offers Combiner Boxes with many integrated features and options, including Disconnect Switches, Contactors, Current Sensors, and Surge Arrestors. All of these features can be configured by the customer and the combiners assembled to order. SolarBOS offers combiners up to 36 circuits at 600 or 1000 VDC with NEMA-3, 3R, 4 and 4X enclosures.
SolarBOS Sub-Array Combiners are sometimes referred to as "re-combiners" or "master combiners" by our customers. This product combines the output conductors of multiple source circuit combiners into one or more larger output circuits for connection to the inverter. Array Combiners can be built using various fuse sizes up to 12 x 200 amp fuses or 6 x 400 amp fuses.
SolarBOS compact combiners, fuse boxes and junction boxes are typically used in residential and small commercial photovoltaic systems. They give system integrators a very low-cost and space-saving option for combining, fusing or just transitioning from solar cable to regular building wire. They can also be ordered with pre-installed Multi-Contact or Tyco cable assemblies in order to save time in the field.
The SolarBOS String Checker enables installers to measure the Open Circuit Voltage and Short Circuit Current of each series string of modules in a combiner box, without having to run the inverter or pull test leads off a live circuit.
